| Complete Application Form Requirements |
A complete application will have the following:
1. Application form (in full) signed and dated;
2. Application and Examination fee (in full); and
3. Appropriate supporting documentation for education qualifications (e.g. transcript from an IFPHK registered CFPCM Certification Education Program) |

| Overseas CFPCM Certificants |
CFPCM certificants of other countries may gain the certification in Hong Kong by providing proof of current license status (in good standing), passing the CFPCM Certification Examination in Hong Kong, and abiding by the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility set by the IFPHK.
Overseas CFPCM certificants who have not gained the certification in Hong Kong are required to indicate the country in which they are licensed such as "CFP® (US)" when they distribute their business cards or other applicable materials containing the CFPCM marks in Hong Kong. |

| Exam Preparatory Courses |
Candidates may consider attending intensive exam preparatory courses to assist in preparing for the Certification Examination. The following are preparatory courses offered by the IFPHK Approved Education Providers:

| Update of Rules and Regulations |
From time to time, there will be updates and changes to the ordinances and regulations in the financial industry as well as rules and requirements of the IFPHK. Candidates taking the CFPCM Certification Examination are expected to apply their knowledge of current regulations and legislation which, at the time of the examination, were announced to the public for six months or longer.
This period of six months begins from the date the regulations and legislation were released, not the date that they were effective from. |

Calculators brought into the examination room are subject to inspection.

| Pass Score |
There are multiple versions of the Certification Examination. While all questions are developed from the topic outline in the CFPCM Certification Examination Handbook , the level of difficulty of each examination may vary slightly because different questions appear in each examination.
Statistical procedures used by the IFPHK are consistent with the procedures adopted by the CFP Board and its consulting psycho-metricians to assure that all candidates are treated equally from one examination to another.
The pass score for the Certification Examination will be determined in accordance with standard pass-score procedures for certification examinations.

| Examination Misconduct |
| Candidates should carefully read the examination regulations in the CFPCM Certification Examination Handbook before attempting the examination. Failure to observe any of these regulations may lead to disqualification from the examination.Incidences of reported cheating will be investigated by the IFPHK. If a candidate is found to have cheated and/or aided or abetted a cheater, or violated any other examination policy, the results of that candidate's examination will not be released and he/she will be subject to disciplinary actions of IFPHK.
Depending on the seriousness of the violation, he/she will be barred from taking any IFPHK CFPCM Certification Examination for a period of three to seven years, from the date of the incident. A second infraction by the same candidate will automatically result in a lifetime ban from taking the examination. The disciplinary panel of IFPHK also reserves the rights to report the violation to the relevant authorities and professional bodies, if deemed appropriate.

| Re-examination Policy |
Candidates are only required to re-sit the paper they fail.

| Examination Review |
For security reasons, examination material is not available for review. A candidate may request a hand scoring of his certification examination answer sheet if he suspects that it was scored incorrectly. He must fill in a Examination Review Request Form and submit it to the IFPHK together with the application fee within 30 calendar days from the date on the result notification letter. Requests made after the 30 days will not be processed.The exam review report will be available within 4-6 weeks after the request is accepted. Please note that the report will only indicate:
1. if there is any difference between hand-scored and machine-scored marks; and
2. if there is any change in result status given the hand-scored marks. Information on exam scores or grades is not provided in the exam review report. In the event there is a discrepancy between the hand-scored and machine-scored results, hand-scored results will prevail and the full processing fee will be refunded.
