CFP^CM , CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^CM and are certification marks owned outside the U.S. by Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd.(FPSB). The Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK) is the marks licensing authority for the CFP marks in Hong Kong and Macau, through agreement with FPSB. Persons who satisfy the 4Es requirements are granted the right to use these marks in accordance with the guidelines established by IFPHK

The IFPHK carefully monitors all usage of the marks in order to ensure their integrity. IFPHK views unauthorized use of the marks as an extremely serious matter and is prepared to take whatever steps necessary to protect them. Premature use could jeopardize one's ultimate right to use the marks. It is a standard policy of the IFPHK, in cases of unauthorized use of the marks by candidates, to deny authorization for at least a period of time equal to that of the unauthorized use.

Use of CFP^CM marks in Hong Kong is restricted to certificants who are authorized to have such rights by IFPHK. Overseas CFP^CM certificants are required to indicate the country in which they are licensed such as "CFP^® (US)" when they distribute their business cards or other applicable materials containing the CFP^CM marks in Hong Kong.

The IFPHK and FPSB reserve the right to take legal actions against any misuses of the CFP^CM marks in Hong Kong and misrepresentation of matters related to IFPHK.
