Keith Lam received his MBA from McGill University in Canada and PhD. in Accounting from Manchester Business School in the United Kingdom. He is also a Fellow member of Canadian Certified General Accountant (FCGA) - one of the first two CGAs in Hong Kong to receive the Fellowship and a CFPCM certificant.
Keith Lam is currently the Deputy Principal of HKU SPACE Po Leung Kuk Community College. Prior to joining the present post, he has held positions as Director of Lingnan Institute of Further Education (LIFE), Lingnan University, Head of Division of Accounting and Commerce at the School of Professional and Continuing Education of the University of Hong Kong (HKU SPACE), Executive Director and Head of Equity Research of an international securities firm, Head of Department of Accounting and Finance at Lingnan University, and Assistant Professor at Queen's University and Dalhousie University in Canada.
Apart from being an academia in Accounting since 1984, Keith Lam has also extended his professional service to many professional bodies like the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers and the Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong (IFPHK). He is one of the founding Executive Committee members of IFPHK. He also serves as the Honorary Secretary and a member of the Certification Subcommittee of IFPHK for the last four years.
While at HKU SPACE, Keith Lam was instrumental in developing the School's CFPCM financial planning education programmes - the largest CFPCM education provider in Hong Kong. Keith Lam is active in promoting CFPCM and wishes to continue making contributions to the development of IFPHK and the financial planning industry in Hong Kong; particularly in the area of education. |
