Associate membership is open to practitioners who have met the education and experience requirements as set by IFPHK. They must adhere to the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibilities and disciplinary actions will be in accordance with the Disciplinary Rules and Procedures.

There are three types of Associate Members:

Associate (Graduate)

Individuals who have passed all 4 papers of the CFP Certification Examination but have not yet accumulated enough years of relevant working experience for certifying as a CFP certificant must apply as an Associate (Graduate) within 6 months from the last examination date.

Associate (General)

Any individual who possess the specified qualifications are eligible for Associate (General) Membership. Please click for details.

Associate (Joint)

Individuals who pass the Financial Advisers' International Qualification (FAIQ) examination (FAIQ)

CFP^CM , CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^CMand

are certification marks owned outside the U.S. by Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd.(FPSB).
The Institute of Financial Planners of Hong Kong Limited (IFPHK), is the marks licensing authority for the CFP marks in Hong Kong and Macau, through agreement with FPSB.
