FAIQ does not require any entry-level requirements. It is open to all suitable graduates or professionals looking to gain knowledge and recognition for their careers in financial services.

The exam is a two and a half hour paper consisting of 100 multiple-choice questions with two public exam sittings annually. For year 2007, the specific exam dates are April 18 and October 17.
