Application

Q1. Do you accept online application only? Can I send my application by mail?

A1. Yes. Application can only be done online. Application or materials submission by mail will not be accepted.

 

Q2. Once the application has been submitted, can I make any additional supplement or changes?

A2. No. No additional supplement or changes could be made once the application has been submitted.

 

Q3. Is there any file size limit on the attachment being uploaded?

A3. Yes, there is a size limit of 20MB per file.

 

Q4. What should I do if I encounter problems during online application? E.g. Uploading or saving error, unable to receive acknowledgement email, etc.

A4. The online form does not offer to save the application. However, you may preview your application and print it out for reference. For other enquiry, please email us at marketing@ifphk.org. You are suggested to screen cap your problems and email us altogether upon enquiry.

 

Q5. When do I have to submit the application fee? Is the application fee refundable?

A5. For individual applicant, you will have to submit your application fee (HK$300) upon submitting the application. This fee is non-refundable regardless of the Award result. For corporate applicant, there is no application fee; however, a program fee will occur upon winning the Awards.

 

Q6. In case of losing the reference number, how could I get it back?

A6. You may contact us at marketing@ifphk.org, please state the full name of the corporate applicant and its contact person, or the full name and HKID of the individual applicant. In addition, please state the Awards that you have entererd to facilitate the process.

 

Corporate Financial Education Leadership

Q7. How many winners are there for the Gold/ Silver/ Bronze Awards? Is there a limitation to the number of winners?

A7. There is no limitation on the number of winners as long as the applicant could fulfill the required assessment criteria as stated.

 

Q8. For the “Best Corporate Financial Education Leadership of the Year” Award, is there just one winner? What if there’s more than one corporate fulfilling the most number of assessment criteria at the same time?

A8. There could be more than one winner. When there is more than one corporate that have fulfilled the most number of assessment criteria at the same time, both corporates are named to the “Best Corporate Financial Education Leadership of the Year”.

 

Q9. In the case that the program can fulfill various assessment criteria at the same time, e.g.  financial education materials that has been published both online and print. How should I apply?

A9. Each program/ materials may only fulfill one criteria, you should select the criteria that the program best fit into.

 

Q10. The financial education materials not fall exactly within the required time frame, it’s published in 2018 but is still in use at the moment by the public. Is this eligible to fulfill the assessment criteria?

A10. Yes. Since this task has been invested and undertaken between 1 July, 2019 and 30 June, 2021, it is eligible.

 

Q11. The financial education program has been carried out in 2018 and is still valid during the requested time frame (i.e. 1 July, 2019 and 30 June, 2021). Is this eligible to fulfill the assessment criteria?

A11. Yes. Since this task is still being undertaken during the requested time frame, it is eligible.

 

Q12. In case the company group has a number of subsidiaries that have undertaken financial education tasks, can the subsidiaries join together and apply as a whole?

A12. Yes. In this case the applicant should be the mother company. However, please note that the subsidiaries cannot enter the Awards again using the same education task.

 

Q13. My company has entered for the “Corporate Financial Education Leadership” Awards, and has been notified of winning the “Corporate Volunteer Team in Financial Education” as well, do I have to submit application for this Awards and pay the program fee the second time?

A13. No. “Corporate Volunteer Team in Financial Education” is by invitation and no application is needed. Regardless of the number of Award of your corporate receive; you will only have to pay the program fee once only.

 

Citizen Volunteer in Financial Education

Q14. Do I have to possess a permanent HKID to be qualified for the “Citizen Volunteer in Financial Education”? Is there any age restriction to this Awards?

A14. Yes, applicant has to possess a permanent HKID and with an age of 18 or above.

 

Q15. I am currently in transition of employers or has already retired, can I leave the “Employer” part blank?

A15. No. The “Employer” is a mandatory field. In this case, you may put it “N/A” for this part.

 

Q16. Can I choose not to notify my employers of my Awards submission?

A16. The organizer will not disclose any individual applicants’ submission to their respective employers.

 

Q17. Are there any examples of “Pro Bono” financial education service for reference?

A17. Yes. The IFPHK ambassadors’ or any financial professional's participation in free public consultation services hosted by regulators, or free seminar hosted by charities organizations or school, are counted as "pro bono" financial education service.

 

Corporate Volunteer Team in Financial Education

Q18. When will corporate be notified of winning the Awards? What is the application procedure to be Awarded?

A18. Corporate awardees will be notified of results as soon as the judging panel completed the assessment process. The target lead time for this process would be around 4 weeks upon application submission.

 

Q19. My company has been notified of winning the “Corporate Volunteer Team in Financial Education”, can the company know what pro bono services have the employees engaged in?

A19. No. In accordance to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the organizer will not disclose any individual applicants’ submission to their respective employers. However, we will let you know the number of individual awardees of the “Citizen Volunteer in Financial Education” in your company.

 

Award Announcement and Promotion

Q20. When will the organizer announce the Award result? Through what channels will it be announced?

A20. The Organizer will announce the result through the official Awards website www.ifphk.org/FELA2021/index.html in around November 2021.

 

Q21. After the Awards, how would the organizer treat the personal particulars collected from the Awards?

A21. On the application form, if the applicant wishes to receive updates from the IFPHK, the organizer would add its contact particulars to our database for future updates. For those do not wish to receive updates, we would destroy all personal particulars after the Awards.
