About “World Financial Planning Day 2021” (“WFPD”)
The IFPHK hosts the “World Financial Planning Day 2021” (“WFPD”) in Hong Kong, as a support to the Financial Planning Standards Board (“FPSB”) initiatives during the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ (“IOSCO”) World Investor Week. The WFPD is set on 6 October 2021.
During the WFPD, the IFPHK and all FPSB’s affiliate organizations representing a global community of over 192,000 CFP® professionals will provide programs to promote consumer awareness and understanding of financial planning.
IOSCO’s World Investor Week is a week-long global campaign designed to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection, and to highlight the investor education and protection initiatives of securities regulators around the world. As part of its global campaign, IOSCO has invited securities regulators from six continents, alone or in partnership with local and international nonprofit groups, to provide programs and events to promote the importance and value of investor education and protection.

To align with the theme of the World Financial Planning Day “Live Your Today, Plan Your Tomorrow”, the IFPHK has rolled out three promotion clips to increase public awareness of the importance of financial planning.

IFPHK Game -
「一人一個 最瘋狂有趣嘅即興消費」
To promote the World Financial Planning Day on 6 October 2021 and the importance of financial planning, the IFPHK launched a mini game with attractive prize in September. The mini game was named as "一人一個 最瘋狂有趣嘅即興消費", participants who shared their extraordinary impulse buying experiences had a chance to win attractive prizes!
The game period was over and the winners were selected. Congratulations to all winners!

FPSB Live Global Event – Future of Client Needs and Advice Delivery
On the World Financial Planning Day, the FPSB is hosting a live global panel themed “Future of Client Needs and Advice Delivery”.
The event will discuss about the evolving client expectation and concern, trends of financial planning professional’s skillset as well as using technology in financial planning.
The event is open to all CFP professionals and financial planning practitioners/ students around the world, at free-of-charge.

FPSB Live Global Event - Technology to Take Your Financial Planning Practice to the Next Level
Leading up to the World Financial Planning Day, the FPSB hosted a live global panel event connecting financial planning professionals across the globe. The live panel event themed “Technology to Take Your Financial Planning Practice to the Next Level” took place on 8 September 2021.
At the event, leaders in the global financial planning profession shared news on the latest fintech developments, tips on staying on top of the latest technology and techniques for better clients’ experiences.
