Incident Background and Current Status The computer systems used by the Institute have been in place for over ten years. Their hardware, software, and ancillary systems urgently require comprehensive inspection, remediation, and upgrades at both functional and technical levels. Regrettably, on the first working day after the Easter long holiday, the Institute’s systems suffered an uncontrollable and force majeure severe incident, resulting in total paralysis. This immediately led to the successive failure of critical hardware, software, ancillary computer systems, and our website. Based on preliminary assessment, normal system operations are not expected to resume within a short period (or within three months). The Institute deeply regrets this situation and extends its sincerest apologies to all members and the public. II. System Replacement and Transition Arrangements While actively investigating and planning a complete system replacement, the Institute remains committed to maintaining essential services for our members.
